The Dutchess County Fair

For six days each August, the Dutchess Fairgrounds on Route 9 in Rhinebeck plays host of up to 400,000 patrons for the Dutchess County Fair. The largest six day County Fair in New York State is a show place for agriculture in Dutchess County, highlighted by the big name talents, one of the finest carnivals in the entire country, free shows and attractions.
Events at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds include: Camping World RV Show, Rhinebeck Antique Car Show & Swap Meet, Northeast Outdoor Show, Barn Star’s Antiques at Rhinebeck, Country Living Fair, Rhinebeck Crafts Festival, Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival, Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival, Oktoberfest Handcrafted at Rhinebeck (A Family Harvest Festival) and the NYS Sheep & Wool Festival.
The 2nd Annual Camping World RV Super Show will be held April 25th-April 28th at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. The show will feature fold downs, trailer trailers, hybrids, 5th wheels, toy haulers, and destination/park trailers. Close to 200 RVs, new and used, will be on display in addition to Class C and Class A motorized units.
The Super Show runs 10-7 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as 10-4 on Sunday. Admission and parking are both free.

The Northeast Outdoor Show is an event for those with a deep passion for anything and everything outdoors. 28th Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival
The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the 28th Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival to be held on July 12, 13 & 14, 2019 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY. The festival will feature 100 hot-air balloon flights scheduled throughout the weekend. Hot-air balloon launches are planned Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings (6PM) as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings (6AM). The festival will also feature evening majestic hot-air balloon moon glows, balloon rides, tether balloon rides, vendors, food trucks and family fun festival activities. Picnic blankets and chairs are welcome and encouraged. Balloon launches are dependent on weather and wind. Balloon launches are at the discretion of the pilot. Tether rides will be available for cash only the day of the event and cost $20 per person. NO DOGS ALLOWED. If animals are left in vehicles, the police will be notified. The Insane Inflatable 5K
A fun and dynamic 5K, made up solely of inflatable obstacles — will challenge you, surprise you, and leave you bouncing back for more! We didn’t just throw together a couple slides and bounce houses – we took imagination and creativity, and went to the leading manufacturer of custom inflatables. We told them to throw out the rule book; we want to go INSANE!
The Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest
The Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest is a celebration of the bounty of New York. Our event features hundreds of wines from all over the state, NY distilled spirits, craft beers and gourmet specialty foods from all over the country. Quail Hollow Events presents Rhinebeck’s first Oktoberfest at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on October 5th & 6th, 2019. This festival brings together the handcrafted, artisanal and agricultural — from wearable fine craft and laudable fine art to the Hudson River Valley’s best brew, wine, specialty foods and apothecary goods. Kids will interact with farm animals and partake in an agri-venture center and creative free-play, while adults enjoy the season’s best beer, wine, spirits and gourmet specialties, while browsing handmade furniture, jewelry, ceramics, glass, fiber art, and much more.
New York Sheep & Wool Festival
The Northeast’s thriving sheep industry is showcased and celebrated each year in this famous festival that draws 30,000 visitors from across the country to the lovely village of Rhinebeck. And there’s more here than sheep, llamas, alpacas, and their luscious fibers. Your day will include 300 fiber artists and crafts galore, amazing sheep herding demonstrations and sheepdog trials, a petting zoo, and other children’s activities. 174th Dutchess County Fair
Fair hours: 10AM-10PM Tuesday – Sunday

Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival
Festival Hours: Saturday: 11 AM to 6 PM and Sunday: 11 AM to 5 PM
The Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest celebrates the bounty of wine, food and fun in the Hudson Valley all in one place. This annual event takes place the weekend following Labor Day, every September at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY. Enjoy hundreds of wines from Hudson Valley Wineries, Cideries, Distilleries, Craft Beers, Food Trucks and Gourmet Foods.The Wine Fest will be held Rain or Shine! It is a handicapped accessible event. Please keep in mind that even though most of the major events are under cover, you should still come prepared with proper clothing, sunscreen and rain gear. As per the Dutchess County Fairgrounds there are no pets permitted on the festival site. Please be conscious of the weather as it will likely be too hot to safely leave pets in your vehicle. There will be no exceptions to the no pets rule.

We are no longer accepting Winter Storage Agreements for Campers and Motorhomes at this time. If you would like to submit the agreement along with your payment and be placed on a wait list, you may do so. We will notify you no later than Nov. 6th if there is space available.
