General Information


Entrances & aisles are accessible for guests using wheelchairs. Most fair attractions are accessible, however, fair staff are not permitted to assist transporting persons to the ride system. They will, however, provide direction to the extent that they are able. Accommodations have been made on the grounds, in buildings, the grandstand and restrooms to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Accessible parking available in designated areas. ATM Cash Machines

Cash machines are available with 3 locations on the fairgrounds located in the Arts & Crafts Bldg (Bldg E) near the Main Restrooms during all events. Other ATM locations throughout the grounds during Fair time, please check locations at information booths.

Comfort/Baby-Changing Stations

Located in the restrooms. Also during fair time only located in Rock & Rest Nursing Tent (map#10).

First Aid Station

Event Medical Services personnel are on duty during events throughout the year and during extended hours at Fair time. Minor injuries and ailments are treated at the First Aid Station located near the main restrooms just south of the Main Entrance #1 (map #9 & #61). In the event of serious illness or injury, contact an usher for assistance.

Group Tours & Discounts

Dutchess County Fairgrounds group rates apply to orders of 25 or more prepaid tickets in total. Two complimentary tickets are provided for ABA or NTA members ONLY.

Lost & Found

During the Fair, Lost & Found is in the State Police building located near First Aid Station and main restrooms (map #9 & #61) or call (845) 876-3074.

During all other events: The lost and found is located at the Show Office in the Administration Bldg on the fairgrounds.

Lost Children Station

Lost Children Station is located by the Main Entrance #1 near the First Aid Station next to Restrooms & Public Telephones.

Our “No Pets” Policy

Dont leave dogs in carsNO PETS allowed on the fairgrounds at any time.

SERVICE DOGS that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for persons with disabilities, will be admitted. Service animals must have proper identification. ***All service dogs must have PROOF or rabies vaccination to enter the grounds.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG IN THE CAR. Any dog left in a vehicle will be turned over to the local authorities/ dog warden at the expense of the owner.

Prohibited Items & Behaviors – Subject to Search

The Dutchess Fair strives to produce a fun and safe family event. In so doing, the Dutchess Fair must enforce prohibited items and behaviors. Listed below are some of the common prohibited items and behavior, but does not limit itself to the following:

  • Pets are not allowed (Service animals must have proper identification)
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, heelies, or segways are not allowed
  • Cans, bottles or coolers are not allowed
  • Shirts and shoes are required at all times

Public Address System

The “Voice of the Fair” is used for informational and emergency purposes only. The P.A. system cannot be used by the public to page lost people. Upon your arrival to the fairgrounds, please be sure to have a predetermined meeting spot in the event you get separated.

Due to the size of our events and pedestrian traffic, any mobility device powered by batteries, fuel or other engines, cannot be accommodated with the exception of mobility carts and power wheelchairs. We request that those units control their speed to the speed of the pedestrian traffic.

State Police/Security

All emergency concerns should be directed to security or fairgrounds personnel. Security personnel are on duty 24 hours a day during the Fair, both on the grounds and in the State Police office, located near the main restrooms and the first aid building.


All events take place rain or shine.

Ticket Redemption (Fair Only)

Tickets can be redeemed at the Power’s Carnival Ticket (map #7) Redemption booth.

Trolleys & Disabled Transports (Fair Only)

Trolleys are available in the parking lots for guest transportation at no charge. Trolleys will patrol the fairgrounds accessible parking areas outside festival gates and will transport people with mobility impairments to the entrance gates from parking lots.

Children’s Services (Fair Only)

Diaper changing and nursing mother’s area is located next to the First Aid Station.

Lost and Found (Fair Only)

Lost and found is located in the State Police building located near First Aid Station and main restrooms.
