Community Involvement - Action & Support
165 years ago, the Dutchess County Agricultural Society was formed by a group of Dutchess County Farmers and civic-minded citizens for the express purpose of promoting agriculture, horticulture, mechanical and domestic arts, fine arts and allied sciences through education, instruction, display and competition. With well defined by-laws, the Dutchess County Fair was born and a commitment to our heritage remains to this day.
Living up to our founding forefathers' principles is just part of the story.
Each year the Society and its' Board of Directors look for ways to contribute
and assist our neighbors and community. Our community outreach is an integral
